WeSave provides a no-cost (FREE) discount and benefits program designed for an exclusive workforce - active and retired public employees at the state and local government level. WeSave delivers a network of coupons from local retail merchants, special deals from the most popular national brands, and an online shopping mall with over 1,000 merchants offering discounts and special promotions. The employees (both active and retired) of participating States join the WeSave program at wesave.com to receive discounts, print coupons, and enjoy special promotions, giveaways and exclusive rewards.
WeSave, founded in 2005 by a group of leading entrepreneurs is poised for continued growth with the roll out of several additional States partnerships. Tom Hanna - President/CEO
Tom Hanna has devoted his career to the growth and development of great companies. Tom was one of country’s youngest Nissan retailers at the age of 26, and has owned and operated a management consulting firm for over 10 years, helping national companies and start ups grow and prosper. Tom’s leadership approach has elevated teams and organizations to their full potential while his implementer strengths positively impact the bottom lines of clients, civic groups, and in his various director and trustee roles. With appointment as WeSave’s CEO in March 2009, Tom has clearly defined and set the company to deliver on its value proposition and growth mission, ensuring value for State partners, Merchants, and Members alike. Tom and his team have poised WeSave for intelligent and thoughtful growth. Tom attended West Virginia University.
Shelia Muhammad - Vice President, Communications
Shelia Muhammad joined the WeSave team in 2005 and spent two years developing national client relationships as Account Executive. She was then promoted to Director of Client Integration, where she managed client marketing campaigns for local, regional and national clients. In 2008, Shelia transitioned into the role of National Merchant Acquisitions Director where she brokered flagship merchant offers for WeSave.com. Today, a five year WeSave veteran and expert in relationship management,
Shelia Muhammad is Senior Vice- President of Communications and Government Relations. Shelia’s responsibilities include managing government partnership marketing campaigns, day to day state relations and also serve as division’s liaison between WeSave’s merchant, member and marketing divisions. Prior to WeSave , Shelia hailed from the commercial real estate management Industry serving as Building Services Coordinator for Cullinan Asset Management of Peoria, IL and Assistant Property Manager for THF Realty of St. Louis’s East Coast Portfolio , spanning over 5 million square feet of retail space in four states . Shelia is a graduate of Stillman College where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in broadcast journalism. Upon graduation, she was recognized as “Most Outstanding Student in the field of Communications”.
Jodi Maggin - Vice President, Strategic Merchant Development
Jodi Maggin is a twenty year veteran of partnership marketing, strategic planning, business development and graphic design. Prior to joining WeSave, Jodi founded and managed Sellbration, a Reward and Loyalty Company which developed a cutting edge gift reminder technology solution and partnered with a national team of experts in the reward, incentive and loyalty industries. Jodi has provided a myriad of services for various high profile employers, member-based organizations and online shopping/reward and discount aggregators. In 1990, Jodi also formed and managed Perks Solutions which provided incentive programs for national, regional and local employee benefit providers. Jodi is a self motivated individual who has both the experience and strategic insight to bring value to WeSave Merchants. Jodi holds a Master’s Degree in Graphic Design & Communications from the University of Baltimore and a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Towson University.
